Lee Min Ho is making his comeback via “The King: The Eternal Monarch” and since its release is just around the corner, SBS is going all-out to promote his drama. Fans can’t wait for this and everyone expressed excitement when the first trailer came out.

Plot - Drama spoiler

Now, SBS wants to make sure that the excitement will not die down so on March 11, it dropped the second teaser. It showed Lee Min Ho’s character Lee Gon riding a horse and upon entering a tall stone portal in the forest, he disappeared and most probably, he just traveled to another dimension which is the future or the present time.

In another scene, Lee Gon met up with Jung Tae Eul (Kim Go Eun) and eventhough they just met each other, he hugged her tight. The teaser suggests that the emperor has been looking for her for a long time and now he wants her to come with him to his world which is the past.

Drama details and premiere date

Lee Min Ho’s “The King: The Eternal Monarch” is his first drama after being discharged from the army last year. It tells the story of two parallel worlds where the king from the ancient time travels to the future -in another dimension - to find a way to close the door linking the two worlds. In his quest, he met the pretty detective and apparently, they could fall in love.

Hello Kpop noted that Lee Min Ho will be playing dual characters in the drama. He will be an emperor in the old world and someone who needs to protect his loved ones in the present time. In both worlds, he has to fight off the villains to save people close to their characters.

Kim Go Eun has two roles as well and while she is a detective in the current time, she is c criminal in the ancient Korean era. Regardless of their characters in the past and present worlds, Lee Min Ho and Go Eun’s characters will cross paths as it is their destiny.

Woo Do Hwan and Jung Eun Chae are also in the lead cast list. “The King: The Eternal Monarch” by Kim Eun Sook is set to premiere in April with no exact date yet.
