I am a Professor of Management at Brunel Business School where my most recent role was Head of Research (2011-2014). I was co-founder and director of the Centre for Research in Emotion Work (now Work and Organization Research Centre) for three years. Currently, I am visiting Professor at Kent Business School and have been visiting professor at the University of Macquarie. Additionally, I have held visiting positions at University of Technology, Sydney and University of South Australia. For five years I was co-editor (and founder of) the International Journal of Work, Organization and Emotion and presently I am associate editor of Gender Work and Organization and for three years was editorial member of the Academy of Management (Learning and Education) journal. I am on the editorial board of Journal Managerial Psychology and I have had teaching experience at undergraduate and post-graduate level including the MBA. Key teaching areas have included Managing the Business Environment, Gender and Organizations as well as more generic programmes on methods, management and organization.
