I am an astronomer and research group leader at CSIRO Astronomy and Space Science. Author of ‘When Galaxies Collide’ (Melbourne University Publishing). I am an adjunct Professor at Western Sydney University and an adjunct Associate Professor at UNSW. My research interests include the origin and evolution of cosmic magnetism, supernova remnants, the interstellar medium, massive star formation, galaxy mergers and astrophysical masers. I am the former Project Scientist for CSIRO’s Australian Square Kilometre Array Pathfinder (ASKAP), which is a precursor to the Square Kilometre Array.
