I am an Associate Professor at the University of Western Ontario holding a joint appointment in the Faculty of Law and in the Faculty of Information & Media Studies (FIMS) Before joining the Western faculty in 2001, I was a law librarian at the University of California at Berkeley and was previously engaged in private law practice in California. My doctoral work at UCLA in Library & Information Science focused on information policy issues. I write and speak extensively on information policy issues including copyright and privacy.
