My research explores issues related to technological innovation, techno-social imaginaries, algorithmic accountability and risks of discrimination and human rights violation in the digital economy. I have both both managerial and research experience in the field of privacy and cybersecurity. I have been the Executive Director of a professional association of Chief Information Security Officers and I have investigated compliance decisions, such as the impact of EU General Data Protection Regulation on corporations employing big data, or the public understanding and acceptability of digital surveillance technologies.
