I was the Director of Public Prosecutions for NSW from 1994 to 2011. Since then I have taught at Law Faculties at Universities in Sydney and Wollongong, holding honorary professorial appointments. I consult internationally, advise, write and speak about criminal justice issues. I have been involved in criminal justice in various capacities for 48 years and have a strong interest in human rights in the criminal justice process.
