I am currently Deputy Vice Chancellor (Research) and also teach in the Department of Philosophy at the University of Sydney. I did my BA at McGill University in Montreal, where I grew up, and my MSc and PhD at the London School of Economics and Political Science. I have held academic appointments previously at the ANU, York University (UK), and the University of Toronto. Between 2010-2105, I was Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences at the University of Sydney. I was elected a Fellow of the Australian Academy of Humanities in 2009.
