Senior Research Fellow, Corporate Social Responsibility, Sheffield Hallam University
I direct and lead consumer and CSR research for food sustainability. Our research supports and guides certification across FMCG and CSR campaigns in the food industry for some of our best known brands.
I have been working in sustainability since 1998, after a eight years of doctoral research in biochemistry in the UK, Japan and USA. I started my sustainability practice with the BASIS/FACTS leadership team delivering communication and certification programmes for UK agriculture 1998-2002.
I have held visiting scientist roles at the Australian Science Agency (CSIRO) and the OECD in Paris before writing my 'Global Food Security and Supply' book in 2015 published by Wiley.
