Stewart Clem is Assistant Professor of Moral Theology at Aquinas Institute of Theology (St. Louis, Missouri, USA), and a priest in The Episcopal Church. He holds degrees in theology and philosophy from the University of Notre Dame, Duke University, and Oklahoma State University. His research explores the history of Christian moral thought (Catholic and Protestant), with an emphasis on the virtues, natural law, and biblical interpretation. He is especially interested in the ways in which contemporary American Christians appropriate (and misappropriate) that history as they engage contemporary ethical and social issues.
