Research Associate (Pedagogy and Entrepreneurship) and University Teacher in Information Management, Loughborough University
I am a University teacher in the United Kingdom at Loughborough University and Research associate at Loughborough University and Loughborough University in London. I received my B.A. in Psychology in 2007 from Panteion University and my MA in Counselling Psychology in 2012 from City Unity College in Athens, Greece. I also have a Professional Diploma in Special Learning Difficulties–Dyslexia. In 2016 i obtained my PhD in Information Science from the Centre for Information Management in the School of Business and Economics at Loughborough University.
My doctoral dissertation combined the fields of Psychology and Information Science. It correlated for first time cognitive variables such as working memory and psychological states variables such as flow with multitasking information behaviour, cognitive coordination, and cognitive shifts on the web.
Given my degree-history, starting in Psychology, and moving on to Business School/Information Science, you could say that I have quite a broad field of interests, creating an extended framework for multidisciplinary research. Some of my interests are:
Human-Computer Interaction and Psychology (Innovation)
My PhD explored human-computer interaction in relation to psychological variables. I am interested in further exploring these relations to provide novel effective web interfaces.
Cognitive Decline/Impairment and Technology (also using Visualisation tools)
In my PhD, I provided guidelines for better and more effective web search system engines especially for people with low working memory capacity. I am interested in investigating and developing the on-line tools for assessing and enhancing the web seeking experience regarding people’s low working memory capacity such as older adults and cognitively impaired.
(Multitasking) Information Behaviour and Interactive Information Retrieval
My research enhanced knowledge about multitasking and its underlying cognitive mechanisms while using the web and provided an integrated and comprehensive model. I am interested in exploring more personal factors and their influence on (multitasking) information behaviour.
Psychological Perspectives on Entrepreneurship
I am interested in exploring the psychological variables and underlying (cognitive) processes which undertake the role of mediators through the process that leads entrepreneurial individuals to success.
Except these, i also have passion for:
Digital Libraries
Autonomous Vehicles (how an autonomous vehicle may detect people’s performance enhancing human-computer interaction and safety)
Too many tabs – why some people can multitask online and others can't

The internet may be the most comprehensive source of information ever created but its also the biggest distraction. Set out to find an answer on the web and its all too easy to find yourself flitting between multiple tabs,...
