Dr. Perls is among the international leaders in the field of human exceptional longevity. He is founder and director of the New England Centenarian Study, the largest study of centenarians and their families in the world. He is also a principal investigator of the 3 NIA-funded studies of human longevity. Dr. Perls is also a vocal critic of the "anti-aging" industry.
