Nicole Murphy is a marine ecologist with research experience in marine pests, large scale habitat studies and ecosystem dynamics, as well as fisheries and management.
She has spent the last 13 years working in Torres Strait with Traditional Owners, with a focus on stock assessment and harvest strategies for their hand collectable fisheries.
Nicole currently leads research on the Beche-de-Mer (sea cucumber) fishery in Torres Strait.
