Lecturer in Nutrition, Centre for Public Health Nutrition Research, University of Dundee
I am a Nutrition Scientist, registered with the Association for Nutrition. I completed my PhD in October 2018 in the department of Dietetics, Nutrition & Biological Sciences at Queen Margaret University, where my research focussed on the influence of oat beta-glucan on acute appetite and energy intakes in both normal and overweight individuals.
My current role is Lecturer in Nutrition, where I teach nutrition on the MBChB undergraduate medical programme. I am based in the Centre for Public Health Nutrition Research, School of Medicine at the University of Dundee. I am currently working on a project to develop healthy and sustainable menu principles for children and young people in the out of home setting across Tayside, Scotland.
I have been an Associate member of the Higher Education Academy since July 2015 and I am currently studying part-time for a PG Certificate in Academic Practice at the University of Dundee.
My voluntary work includes co-founding and moderating the extremely successful monthly @AfNutr twitter chats, supported by the Association for Nutrition.
