Dr. Lena Surzhko-Harned is an Assistant Teaching Professor of Political Science and a Senior Policy Analyst at the Public Policy Fund at Penn State University, Behrend College.
Her primary research interests are in the field of comparative politics, political behavior, European politics, and politics of the post-Soviet space. Her co-authored book "Post-Soviet Legacies and Conflicting Values in Europe: Generation Why?" was published by Lexington Books Russian, Eurasian, and European Politics Series in December 2017 and examines the inter-generational conflict and its consequences in post-Soviet Ukraine and Russia.
Dr. Surzhko-Harned holds an MA and a PhD from University of Pittsburgh.
