I am a microbial ecologist who is working on finding microbial solutions to combat climate change. During my PhD, I studied the fascinating world of smells by looking at the volatile aka fragrant language between microorganisms. After that I moved to North America for a postdoctoral position at the Institut national de la recherche scientifique in Montréal. I'm currently working on a project that looks at climate change effects on microbial communities in the plant holobiont (the inseparable unit of the host and its microbiome) to find microbial engineering solutions to create climate change resilient crops. I am passionate about bringing arts and science together and about building a more inclusive scientific community. I volunteer for the non-profit organization 500 women scientists and work as an instructor in the DIY community lab bricobio.
