Lecturer / Research fellow in Marine Ecology, Curtin University
My broad research interest is marine fishes, in particular those inhabiting temperate-water rocky-reef environments. My current research focus is on reef fish assemblages in Australia’s south-west. Active and recent areas of research include spatial distribution and habitat associations of fishes, behavioural ecology, community ecology and trophic connectivity, and the influence of anthropogenic structures and environmental changes on fishes. I am also interested in the use of innovative imaging technologies to help understand the ecology and distribution of fishes across a range of environments from deep, dark, and murky waters, to clear water shallow reef systems.
