What makes Android 6.0 Marshmallow better?

Google announced the latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow at the recently held Nexus event, which will start rolling out next week. Here is a look at its new features that will make users quickly switch to the upgrade, as reported by TechTimes:

Doze: Google claims that this feature will optimize battery performance as compare to Android Lollipop. It uses a combination of software tweaks and hardware sensors to detect if device has been idle for a while, and disabling some processes/power draining features while they are not in use.

USB Type-C: It is a reversible USB format that allows for fast data transfers between devices. The latest Android upgrade now adds support for USB Type-C, making it easier for the Android hardware makers to build their future devices with this standard. A major benefit with USB-C is that users don’t have to worry about plugging in a microUSB the wrong way.

Google Now on Tap: This will enable getting information even from third-party apps, adding it to the pool of data Google Now leverages to present the most relevant information. While in an app, users can hold the home button and Google Now will analyze it on the spot.

Fingerprint Support: Fingerprint sensors will allow users to easily unlock their device in a secure manner, make payments or log into various services or applications — making everything safer and more convenient.

App Permissions: Android Marshmallow also comes with a case-by-case app permission structure that borrows a page from Apple's iOS playbook, while adding its own improvements. It will enable users to choose which permissions they want to grant to each individual app.
