LAFAYETTE, Ind., Sept. 23, 2016 -- Wabash National Corporation (NYSE:WNC) recognized top suppliers today during its annual Supplier Conference. More than 300 attendees representing 240 companies attended the conference in Lafayette, Indiana, during which 29 suppliers received awards for exceptional performance.
“We strongly value a collaborative relationship with all of our supplier partners,” commented President and Chief Executive Officer Dick Giromini. “We recognize the vital role our suppliers play in assuring Wabash National’s continued leadership position in customer satisfaction, product quality and innovation.”
The top award, Wabash National’s Pinnacle Award, recognizes the company’s supplier of the year. The 2016 Pinnacle Award went to Dow Chemical, which supplies the company with plastic resin for its DuraPlate® composite panels and foam for refrigerated vans and tank trailers.
“We’re honored to recognize Dow Chemical as our Pinnacle Award recipient for their outstanding performance and continuous improvement initiatives,” said Nick Adler, vice president of global strategic sourcing. “This was the first Pinnacle Award for Dow Chemical and seventh Wabash National supplier award overall.”
