Also, based on the previous season, it appears that they are getting closer to the Money Pit and it is time to unearth whatever is remaining in the vault believed to be housing valuables. They have already mentioned that the original contents of the Money Pit may have been moved already or found by someone but still, they are continuing the effort to unveil the actual location to confirm the theories of treasures were buried there is true.

The renewal update for the eighth installment

“The Curse of Oak Island” season 8 is not yet renewed and there is no official word from History Channel as well. However, this does not mean that the show is not returning for new episodes. Followers of the show are also convinced that they will hear good news from the said television network very soon.

With the reality program’s high viewership ratings, it is certain that it will be getting a new order from History. Besides, there are lots of unfinished business on the island so surely, the Lagina brothers and their team will continue to dig until they find something really significant in their original quest to find the Money Pit.

Filming has commenced

While there is no renewal announcement yet for “The Curse of Oak Island” season 8, residents of the Oak Island shared that they have spotted the crew and they are filming. It turned out that since June there are already activities and a resident who posts updates about the happenings within the vicinity, shared that there are drones and it appeared that the camera has started rolling again.

As early as June 19, the Oak Island from the Other Side of the Causeway posted that there are activities around the 10X however, there are no movements in the swamp or the Smith’s Cove. By July 8, a big production film crew was said to have arrived and the island is busy again with the huge traffic.

It was also shared that the crew and everyone else was allowed to cross the border again but they need to self-isolate for 14 days first before proceeding to the Oak Island. At this point, not much equipment is seen.

On July 25, works are on-going in the Money Pit and 10X and tents were set up as well. More vehicles were coming in but only a few people were spotted. About two days later, traffic has picked up and more than 20 trucks with gravel have entered the island.

Big crane trucks were said to be leaving with logs and big rocks. One fan suggested that they could be excavating the stone foundation and the hidden passage that was discovered in season 7.

Equipment started to arrive on July 30 but there are no cans this time. They could be making smaller scale digs just like their plan for “The Curse of Oak Island” season 8 that was revealed in the finale of the seventh season.

Finally, while filming has apparently resumed, “The Curse of Oak Island” season 8 has no release date yet but it can be in the second half of 2021.
