They were very active to bring projects and technologies to Guiyang.
Being the host country of this international big data events, renowned Chinese enterprises like Alibaba, Baidu, Tencent, and Xiaoi also presented their latest products and applications. There were various “world-class” cases in this Big Data Expo, especially in the AI aspects.
Xiaoi is an AI icon of China. It has the most use cases of smart machines, with over 500 million users globally. Xiaoi is also a strategic partner of Guiyang. In its earlier times, Xiaoi created the first chatbot on MSN, and was selected as a partner by Microsoft. Now, Xiaoi established a close relationship with the world’s biggest speech company Nuance.
In Gartner's report “Top 10 Strategic Technology Trends for 2017”, Xiaoi was recommended to CIO and CTO along with Siri of Apple, Cortana of Microsoft and Echo of Amazon. The world leading smart machine analyst Tom Austin comments Xiaoi as follows: There are increasing organizations focusing on smart machine technologies, but regarding actual applications, Xiaoi can realize various functions, its technologies and products are among the best and can be ranked top 3 in the world.
In the 2017 Big Data Expo, Xiaoi and Guiyang Government launched AI Big Data Cloud Service Platform and other 11 pilot projects. The platform takes advantage of Xiaoi’s natural language processing, deep semantic understanding, inference and its accumulated experience, as well as the big data resources in Guiyang. The platform does not only provide AI capabilities to Guiyang and other cities in China, it will also deliver services to the whole world in the future.
It is worth mentioning that, among the 11 pilot projects, there are several first of its kind. The 12315 intelligent conciliation system for Guiyang Industrial and Commercial Bureau, and the 12345 automatic workflow system for Mass Work Committee are applied in government branches. They dig deep into the business, and optimize workflow with the help of AI and big data technologies, and improves governance and service ability. This is the first case in the AI industry, and can be used for reference by other countries.
One important arrangement in the schedule of “Silicon Valley Experts China Roadshow” is to arrange a conversation with Xiaoi and other technology enterprises to get to know more about Chinese AI market, and to explore possible cooperation in the future.
Xiaoi also released Chinese Deep Semantic Open Platform on the same day, which was a big breakthrough in the Chinese human-machine interaction field.
