Elon Musk Teases Revolutionary Full Self-Driving V12.4, Cybertruck to Wait

Elon Musk discusses Tesla's next-gen FSD technology on social media platform X.

Tesla CEO Elon Musk hints at the possible release of Full Self-Driving (FSD) V12.4 next week, with significant upgrades anticipated for Tesla drivers, excluding the Cybertruck for now.

Elon Musk Teases Tesla FSD V12.4 Features

As we eagerly await the system's impending updates, Musk has been dropping hints about some game-changing enhancements for FSD (Supervised).

In a recent statement, he teased that the latest iteration of Tesla's supervised FSD would "blow your mind." Moreover, Musk revealed that FSD (Supervised) V12.4 had undergone a complete model retraining, adding to the anticipation.

Musk also shared that Tesla is now working on FSD V12.5 and FSD V12.6, which are in various testing phases. The CEO also mentioned that Tesla is already encountering challenging driving conditions, such as road closures that force a car to return and find a different path.

Tesla Cybertruck FSD: A Future Update

While these updates promise to refine Tesla's autonomous driving capabilities further, drivers of Tesla Cybertrucks would have to wait a while longer for Full Self-Driving (FSD) capabilities to be available for their all-electric pickups.

A longtime FSD tester @WholeMarsBlog asked Musk, also on X, whether Tesla might provide Cybertruck access to certain driver-assist features like lane-keeping.

Teslarati claims that since Musk frequently makes predictions that are later than expected, it wouldn't be shocking if the Cybertruck gained access to FSD several months after the Robotaxi "Cybercab" is unveiled on August 8, 2024.
