Citigroup has appointed Eric Farina and Rob Cascarino as co-heads of its Infrastructure Financing & Capital Solutions Group (IFCS), reinforcing the bank's strategic push to expand its global infrastructure finance capabilities amid growing institutional demand for large-scale project funding.
Farina, who will be based in New York, brings over 20 years of specialized infrastructure finance expertise to the role. Prior to joining Citi, he served as head of infrastructure finance within private capital markets at Morgan Stanley, where he built a strong track record advising on complex, large-scale financing transactions. His deep industry relationships and deal structuring experience position him well to drive growth within Citi's IFCS platform.
Cascarino joins the co-leadership role while currently serving as co-head of Debt Capital Markets for the UK, Europe, Middle East, and Africa. Having joined Citi last year, he brings more than two decades of DCM experience to the table, with a notable focus on digital infrastructure financing and sports stadium projects across both the United States and EMEA markets. In his expanded capacity, Cascarino will collaborate closely with Farina to strengthen and scale the global IFCS division.
Both executives will report directly to DCM heads John McAuley and Chris Munro, working in close alignment with capital markets teams across the organization. The dual appointment signals Citi's commitment to building out a robust infrastructure financing practice capable of serving clients across multiple asset classes and geographies.
As global infrastructure investment continues to accelerate — driven by energy transition, digital transformation, and urbanization trends — Citi's strengthened IFCS leadership is expected to play a pivotal role in sourcing, structuring, and executing high-value infrastructure deals for institutional and corporate clients worldwide.
