Ssangyong Motor launched the trendy Torres SUV, offering sleek designs and well-rounded technologies.
Torres is the first to be based on Ssangyong Motor's new design philosophy dubbed "Powered by Toughness."
According to the manufacturer, the Torres is equipped with an environmentally friendly 1.5-liter turbocharged gasoline engine that is remarkably quiet and a third-generation Aisin 6-speed automated transmission to support strong performance in keeping with the downsizing trend.
The turbocharged gasoline engine can produce 170 horsepower and 28.6 kg-m of maximum torque. Based on a two-wheel drive, the fuel efficiency is 11.2 kilometers per liter (2WD).
Company manager Chung Yong-won described the Torres as having been developed with the Ssangyong Motor DNA while vowing to continue introducing new models that better reflect the company's identity.
