More information on the anticipated Galaxy S21 FE has appeared in the wild recently as tech fans wait for Samsung to officially announce the device. The latest report suggests that there will not be any changes in its battery specs, compared to its predecessor Galaxy S20 FE, but it will still have a bigger capacity than what the flagship Galaxy S21 offers.
Samsung Galaxy S21 FE specs: What to expect
The Galaxy S21 FE is one of the remaining smartphones Samsung is expected to announce this year. It appears that the previous phone, Galaxy S20 FE, was positively received in the market. It is then not surprising that the company may want to repeat the success by launching a refresh model later this year.
While many details about technical specifications are still under wraps, Galaxy Club has reported that the Galaxy S21 FE will sport a battery pack with model number EB-BG990ABY. The same article noted that the battery has been rated with 4,370mAh capacity, but Samsung is expected to advertise it as a 4,500mAh battery pack.
This new information means the Galaxy S21 FE will have the same battery capacity as the device before it and Samsung will continue to offer the mid-range phone with a bigger battery than the standard Galaxy S21 that launched last January. The latter comes with a 4,000mAh battery.

Another recent Galaxy S21 FE leak included an official-looking render that may have revealed the device’s design, as shared by OnLeaks. The rear camera bump looks quite similar to Galaxy S21’s, but the upcoming phone actually has a more conventional form factor because the bump is not an extension of the metal frame.
The same source said Galaxy S21 FE would sport a 6.4-inch display with 155.7 x 74.5 x 7.9 mm dimensions, which are bigger than the Galaxy S21. There is no word yet about the upcoming phone’s processor. But it can be recalled that the Galaxy S20 FE shipped with flagship with 5G Snapdragon 865, which is a flagship chipset at the time.
Samsung Galaxy S21 FE could be announced in August
Galaxy S21 FE is highly expected to be announced sometime in August. A previous leak revealed that Samsung has set aside a tentative date, Aug. 19, for an event labeled as “FE Unpacked.”
