The Samsung Galaxy Note 9 has been one security bungle after another for Samsung as the features and design of the upcoming phablet has been consistently hounded and caught by Samsung reviewers.
Just last month, Russian tech reporter Eldar Murtazin was able to get his hands on a pre-release unit of the Samsung Galaxy Note 9.
Some of the more negative reviews by Murtazin include the Samsung Galaxy Note 9's design. As per the reviewer, the Note 9 looks almost similar to the Galaxy Note 8 aside from a repositioned fingerprint sensor. The Note 9 also seems to be heavier and bulkier than the Note 8, a sure minus for anyone who prefers a sleeker and lighter phablet. Of the disappointing out-of-the-box features that the Note 9 will potentially have, the lack of the In-Display Fingerprint Reader takes the cake.
For anyone interested in the In-Display Fingerprint Reader, they may have to look towards the Samsung Galaxy S10 instead. But the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 pre-release review does mention some improvements that anyone looking into it can be excited for.
The base model will have 6GB of RAM with an option for an 8GB model. The Note 9 will also feature a 4,000mAh battery, a huge upgrade compared to the Note 8's 3,300mAh battery. For the visual-oriented features, the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 also features upgraded photography software capabilities and a brighter display.
The most exciting feature that will come packaged with the Note 9 will be the New S Pen. The S Pen apparently has Blue Tooth capability and will potentially be charged easily by the Note 9's generous battery capacity.
Of the official announcements that can be confirmed, Samsung has announced that the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 will debut at the Aug. 9 “Samsung Unpacked” event in New York. Those looking forward to the event can also live stream from the comfort of their homes.
