Prince Harry hoax call: Meghan’s husband dubbed ‘extremely foolish’ after being duped by Russian pranksters twice

Prince Harry was recently criticized after it was revealed that two Russian pranksters managed to get out important information from him during their phone conversation.

Earlier this week, reports swirled that Prince Harry opened up about his and Meghan Markle’s bombshell exit, as well as Donald Trump’s presidency, during his conversation with a young girl he thought was Greta Thunberg. It was, later on, revealed that the callers weren’t related to the teenage activist and her father.

While speaking with Daily Mail, royal commentator Richard Fitzwilliams couldn’t believe why Prince Harry would so openly talk about such sensitive topics over the phone without double-checking who exactly he was talking to. And to make things worse, the prank calls took place twice.

“It would only have been sensible to have had his staff verify who was calling and asking so many questions, the invention of Greta’s father indicates that these are skilled hoaxers who have fooled several celebrity victims. Harry has an open nature and he is in a vulnerable period where he has jettisoned the values he has been brought up with,” he said.

Fitzwilliams went on to question Prince Harry’s statement about protecting his 10-month-old son, Archie. After all, the things that he told the pranksters may have just them at an even greater risk.

“We know Harry admires Greta Thunberg as he praised her at the Royal Albert Hall at the OnSide awards ceremony in November 2019 though I don’t think they have met. This hoax will make him look extremely foolish,” the royal commentator said.

In the audio recordings, Prince Harry went as far as talking about how he and Markle plan to make money and earn a living after their bombshell exit.

“Because of a technicality within the family, if we are earning money separately from within the family structure, then we obviously have been asked not to use our titles in order to make money, which we would never do,” he said.

An official statement from Prince Harry hasn’t been released following the prank calls.
