SAN DIEGO, Jan. 29, 2018 -- A new resource was recently added to a substance abuse website CouplesRehabs.org. The online information addresses drug rehabs for couples in Pennsylvania. While larger cities in Pennsylvania like Philadelphia and Pittsburgh get a lot of media about the opioid epidemic, the state's rural and suburban towns are being devastated as well.

Overdoses in the state of Pennsylvania have been growing at a steady pace, with no end in sight. In fact, some reports have places like York County experiencing nearly a 90 percent increase year-over-year of heroin-related deaths.
On a statewide level, fentanyl deaths rose 100 percent from 2015 to 2016. Although most studies do not place Pennsylvania in the top 10 of worst states suffering from addiction, the state has a growing addiction problem that needs to be addressed.
Married or unmarried couples looking for a drug rehab often times find it hard to located a facility that will allow them to receive treatment together. Many of the “traditional” centers do not allow couples to get help together.
The website Couples Rehabs provides readers with access to a 24/7 helpline to a specialist, as well as treatment options for each local area if available. Finding a rehab, or sober living for couples is harder than one would think; there are not that many centers willing to work with couples together.
Not being able to get help together keeps many couples from getting help. Locating a couples rehab center in Pennsylvania could help save lives. In the U.S. opioids now kill more people than breast cancers. Most of the deaths involved opioids with a variety of painkillers including heroin and fentanyl, as well as legally prescribed medications such as hydrocodone and oxycodone.
Drug addiction is a disease that needs medical treatment. Whether a person enters into a rehabilitation center alone or with a partner, taking the first step towards recovery is the most important decision in his or her life.
