This could be a good time for Marvel fans looking to purchase a new handset as Chinese smartphone maker, OnePlus, recently unveiled an Avengers-inspired edition of their latest release, the OnePlus 6.
OnePlus has already launched a dedicated page for the limited edition device and has started accepting orders. However, according to CNET, the phone is initially being launched in OnePlus’ homeland only.
The release of the Avengers OnePlus 6 edition is obviously in line with the major success of the latest Marvel Cinematic Universe film released, the “Avengers: Infinity War.” As one would expect, the OnePlus 6 Avengers edition sports a golden logo of the famous superhero collective at the lower back side of the device along with Marvel’s stamp.
Like other premium device released recently, the Avengers-inspired device sports a glass panel on its rear side made up of Corning Gorilla 5th-generation product coating its design of custom 3D aramid fiber texture.
As for its other specifications, the Avengers-stamped OnePlus 6 is powered by Snapdragon 845 chipset along with an 8GB RAM and 256GB internal memory. The smartphone also sports a dual camera composed of 20MP and 16MP lenses supported with artificial intelligence technology.
Meanwhile, as shown in OnePlus’ official website, the device will come with a protective casing designed after one of the original Avengers, Iron Man.
OnePlus has also set up a raffle draw for customers who will purchase this device. According to the company, they have also released a total of six Avengers superhero golden badges. Every box comes with one random badge. Customers who can get their hands on to all six medal designs by June 30 can join the contest that could win them 100,000 Chinese Yuan (around $15,700).
The OnePlus 6 Avengers edition is now on sale for 4,199 Chinese Yuan or around $660.
