The action is expected to pick up in “One Piece” chapter 975. Luffy is finally back with an intact Thousand Sunny after having survived the bombing by Kaido's men.
What’s even more exciting is that Luffy actually arrived with two more allies, Law and Kidd. Thus, the three strongest fighters among the Worst Generation are set for an explosive confrontation against Kaido’s men in the upcoming “One Piece” chapter 975.
Meanwhile, Kanjuro already revealed himself as the traitor and was set on kidnapping Momonosuke on Orochi’s orders. However, the other Scabbards that time-traveled with Momonosuke twenty years into the future would do everything they can to stop the traitor from delivering Oden’s son to his enemy.
A chase is likely to happen in “One Piece” chapter 975 with Kanjuro doing his best to escape the pursuit of the other Scabbards. One fan has an interesting theory on how Kanjuro will end up back in the hands of the Scabbards.
“I could also see Kanjuro trying to run with Momonosuke to the Flower Capital, trying to ask Kyoshiro (The dog of the Shogun) for help,” Reddit user Kirosh posted on the site. “And since Kanjuro doesn't know it's Denjiro, we might have a reunion of all Scabbards there, and Kanjuro getting killed/captured then.”
If that happens, it would be a fitting ending for Kanjuro, who posed as a friend to his comrades while stabbing them behind their backs by working as Orochi’s secret spy. What’s funny is that he would end up trusting Kyoshiro, who is actually Denjiro in disguise, which implies that Denjiro is a better actor than Kanjuro. The look on Kanjuro’s face when he realizes what happened would be priceless.
The Redditor also thought of a way to avenge Oden’s death by using Momonosuke as bait, which might happen in “One Piece” chapter 975 or later chapters of the manga series. “Then for the following chapters, Momo asks Denjiro to bring him to Onigashima, so they could use trust Orochi has in him to have a surprise attack,” Kirosh added.
“One Piece” chapter 975 will arrive on March 22, 2020. Stay tuned for updates
