MCLEAN, Va., Feb. 22, 2016 -- Novetta, a leader in advanced analytics technology, today announced Will Goodman has joined the company as vice president of open source intelligence products and technology. In this new role, Goodman is responsible for growing sales of the company's open source intelligence and analysis software and services in commercial and government markets, and supporting the development and innovation of next-generation technology.
Novetta's open source intelligence analysis solutions have been deployed by major federal and commercial organizations to map and fuse streams of real-time data and provide exploitable entity-centric insights. The software's open and inclusive architecture enables organizations to ingest internal and third-party data, and provide qualitative and quantitative correlations between data sources to support strategic, operational and tactical decision making.
"Will brings tremendous depth to our team and is a key part of our growth strategy," said Bryan Rich, senior vice president of open source intelligence technology. "His experience will help us significantly as we scale our government business, and expand the capabilities of our
cutting-edge analysis technologies to meet the needs of a broad range of global customers."
Goodman most recently served as vice president for policy at the National Defense Industrial Association, the defense industry's largest association, where he assisted more than 1,600 association member companies with acquisition and contracting regulatory and policy matters. Prior to NDIA, as senior defense adviser to Senator Patrick Leahy (D-Vt.), Goodman provided assistance on all matters pertaining to defense appropriations and policy.
Goodman began his career in the federal government in the office of the secretary of defense, where he contributed to the development of counterterrorism policy, offered policy guidance to combatant commands as they prepared military operational and contingency plans, and helped to advise the under secretary of defense for policy in the review and approval of those plans. He earned a master's degree with honors from the Georgetown University School of Foreign Service and a bachelor's degree, honors and Phi Beta Kappa from the University of Florida.
"I was drawn to Novetta because of its mission-first attitude and ability to provide customers with the information they need to make the right strategic decisions at critical inflection points," said Goodman. "That is what open source intelligence is all about."
