Balenciaga is the latest luxury fashion brand to announce a new NFT release, and this has been described to be one “massive drop.” The fashion house’s innovative designs are set to become digital tokens, and the collection has been titled “The Cristóbal Balenciaga: To the Moon” NFTs.
Cristóbal Balenciaga, the founder of the world-renowned luxury brand, pioneered many innovative designs, which have been his great contribution to the fashion industry. He revolutionized the concept of dressing and the female silhouette and was given the title of “The Master,” which he deserves due to the perfection of his creations and ability to be ahead of his time.
The brand was founded in 1919, but Cristobal’s work has stood the test of time and is even more relevant today. And now, his designs will be offered as non-fungible tokens in this age when cryptocurrency and the metaverse are slowly taking over the world.
According to CoinTelegraph, the Balenciaga NFT collection is set to be launched via the Crypto.com NFT marketplace. It will feature never-before-seen exclusive designs that are said to be inspired by Lorenzo Riva’s collection created and drawn by Cristobal Balenciaga. The drawings are said to number more than 8,000, and these were made at the height of the haute couture movement.
It was reported that Riva was the artistic director of Balenciaga in the 1980s, and he received these groundbreaking pieces by Maison Balenciaga. Cointelegraph teamed up with Riva art consulting company and Artvein, a fine art NFT platform, to create the non-fungible tokens drop.
To celebrate the Balenciaga NFT project, Riva will be giving out rewards and redeemable items to select owners of “The Cristóbal Balenciaga: To the Moon” NFT. they have a chance to receive Balenciaga gear, 70-year-old drawings of Balenciaga, and gift cards for high-end designer brands. NFT holders will also receive early and guaranteed access to upcoming “Lorenzo Riva X Cristóbal Balenciaga” NFT drops.
Finally, Digital Market News mentioned that “The Balenciaga: To The Moon” collection also named Animal Concerts as a strategic partner. Thus, owners of NFT will also be receiving a free Metaverse concert ticket to the Animal Concerts scheduled for this year, and this is part of the rewards program.
