Miss Universe Philippines is now the first beauty pageant to jump into the non-fungible token (NFT) bandwagon. This year’s pageant event is set to launch its NFT collection through a partnership with RedFOX Labs, a blockchain business builder in Southeast Asia.
Through the blockchain-based collection, the Miss Universe Philippines 2021 has become the world’s first beauty pageant NFT. According to Business Mirror, the NFTs will be released on Sept. 24 via RedFOX Labs’ platform.
With the new project, the Miss Universe Philippines 2021 NFTs will provide a chance for fans to own digital asset collectibles of their favorite beauty queens. Avid fans should take this chance to acquire the exclusive beauty pageant NFT on the Ethereum blockchain.

Fans will be able to see the Miss Universe PH’s NFT collection on the RedFOX Labs’ NFT Marketplace starting Sept. 24. Aside from the financial gains through growth revenue streams, the entrance of the pageant into this business also gives the pageant contestants and other celebrities an opportunity to link their own content to the ever-growing blockchain and non-fungible token spheres. Thus, they can be recognized not just locally but on the global stage.
“We are appreciative that Miss Universe Philippines puts safety of its contestants above all else. It’s a difficult set of circumstances for them to juggle,” RedFOX Labs co-founder and chief executive officer, Ben Fairbank, said in a statement. “We need to obtain more photographs of each contestant to be able to complete the sets but have back up options if need be. We have locked in the 24th regardless of the contest’s movements from here on in. We are happy to be the first in the world to do a release of this type and we are sure it’s only the beginning of our partnership.”
Meanwhile, the pageant will offer a collection of 9,900 limited edition NFTs, and it will include 6,000 common, 2,700 uncommon, 900 Rare, and 300 mythic Miss Universe Philippines 2021 NFTs. These will be sold individually and cost $50 worth of RFOX tokens on the day of sale.
Those who have purchased a mythic NFT of the winning contestant of the pageant will be given one ethereum. There will be ten winners, so a total of 10 Ethereum will be handed out. The final judging for the Miss Universe Philippines 2021 is set to take place on Sept. 25.
