LOS ANGELES, March 08, 2017 -- Greenland USA, a leading developer of modern and transformative properties, along with Isenberg & Associates, Inc., partnered with StandardVision to design, manufacture, and install a new 1,400-square-foot, transparent LED video display as part of its public art installation, ConvergenceLA, at Metropolis, its mixed-use property in downtown Los Angeles. The display features digital media art created by Refik Anadol and Susan Narduli, both of whom were selected for the project after a lengthy review process. Anadol and Narduli describe the art installation as “a generative construct fueled by data and informed by aesthetics”—a synergy of Anadol’s digitally-focused art practice and Narduli’s narrative-infused artwork.

The marquee measures 15 feet high by 97 feet wide, emanating a warm welcome to all guests entering the property as well as those driving by. The installation uniquely utilizes a 380-Volt DC power system, which is a world first for architectural media.
“The process of working with StandardVision for the last 2 years has been great,” said Greenland USA Director of Development, Ryan Aubry. “This was a fun and collaborative effort and StandardVision’s manufacturing, installation and creative team really brought our project to life.”
"We're proud to partner with Greenland USA and bring an architecturally integrated video display to such an important part of their development and the community," said StandardVision CEO, Adrian Velicescu. “With the effective collaboration among the ownership team, architects, consultants and the artists, we were able to truly create something that’s beautiful and engaging. Metropolis will be the new capital of luxury in DTLA and we are happy to be a part of it.”
With every project produced, StandardVision LED Video turnkey solutions provoke a multitude of disciplines: architecture, motion design, programming, filmmaking, lighting design and engineering, uniting them with a singular vision of bringing dynamism to a specific environment.
