Meghan Markle and Prince Harry previously announced that they will be living in North America and London following their departure from the royal family. But it seems that the royal couple’s plans have once again changed.

A source told E! News that instead of going back and forth from London and Canada, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are eyeing to move to the United States in the summer. A source said that the royal couple is currently searching for homes online.

“They have started to look at homes online and are in the process of interviewing security teams. They are getting their ducks in a row and seeing if it’s logistically possible. They’ve reached out to people in L.A. and would like to assemble a team of locals,” the source said.

Markle, who used to work as an actress, also has plans to return to the industry. As such, she is also in search of an agent or a manager that could represent her in the coming months.

Prince Harry’s wife was born and raised in the United States, so it isn’t surprising that she wants to return to her hometown. Being in the US also means that she’s closer to her future gigs in Hollywood.

The source said that there’s another reason why Prince Harry and Markle are scouting for properties in the United States. Markle reportedly wants to turn her home into an office, and she also wants to host her friends.

“Those are two things that are important to her,” the source said.

Meanwhile, some royal experts are concerned about the royal couple’s upcoming move because it seems that Prince Harry would be farther apart from his family.

According to Forbes, one of the things that the Duke of Sussex could be missing on is the power and influence that his royal status brought him. Prince Harry has also been stripped off his military titles, honors, and royal duties, which makes him a very normal individual.
