The original voice actors of “Frozen” and “Tangled” have once again agreed to sign on and reprise their roles for “Kingdom Hearts 3.”
Square Enix has confirmed that Kristen Bell, Idina Menzel, Josh Gad, and Jonathan Groff have all agreed to return to voice Anna, Elsa, Olaf and Kristoff in “Kingdom Hearts 3.” Zachary Levi and Donna Murphy will also return to voice their “Tangled” characters Flynn Rider and Mother Gothel.
The rest of the voice cast for “Kingdom Hearts 3” includes John Ratzenberger as the piggy bank Hamm from “Toy Story,” Wallace Shawn as the clumsy Rex from “Toy Story,” Tate Donovan as Hercules from the 90s animated film “Hercules,” and Kevin R. McNally as Captain Jack Sparrow’s first mate Joshamee Gibbs from “Pirates of the Caribbean.”
Haley Joel Osment will also return to voice Sora in “Kingdom Hearts 3.” The series protagonist will continue to travel through Disney and Pixar-inspired worlds with Donald Duck and Goofy as they look for a way to stop the Heartless from taking over the universe. Tony Anselmo and Bill Farmer will return to voice Donald Duck and Goofy, respectively.
As of the moment, the status of the voice actors for Roxas, Kairi and Aqua are yet to be revealed. Worlds from “Monster's Inc.” and “Big Hero 6” are supposed to be part of “Kingdom Hearts 3” as well, but Square Enix has yet to confirm who will be voicing the characters.
Meanwhile, Square Enix will be making an appearance at the New York Comic-Con 2018 early next month, and as expected, gamers will get the chance to check out the demo of “Kingdom Hearts 3.” Who knows, Square Enix may introduce more voice actors during the event.
“Kingdom Hearts 3” is scheduled to be released on January 25, 2019, on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
