“Kabukichou Sherlock” episode 13 is the first episode after that time when Jack the Ripper’s real identity was finally revealed. But unfortunately, Moriarity or James was blinded after hearing how the serial killer murdered his twin sister Alex so, in the end, he killed Jack.

The killing that was fueled by hatred and desire to avenge the death of a loved one could also be given some merit in the court, but still, Moriarity was jailed. As per iMDB, “Kabukichou Sherlock” episode 13 is titled "First Moonlit Night," and it’s synopsis reads: “James is being abused in prison. Mycroft comes to the row house and reflects on how Sherlock got his start in rakugo.”

Sad fate of Moriarity

As the plot summary of “Kabukichou Sherlock” episode 13 reveals, Moriarty is being abused in jail, and this may have a big impact on his personality and behaviors once he is released. In fact, fans are already suspecting that the odd behavior that he is displaying while imprisoned seems to be suggesting that he is not a normal kid after all.

In the My Anime List forum, many were agreeing that it is possible Jame’s had a dark past, and this could involve murder. They are saying that he could have killed his own mother, and this could be the reason why his father, Moran, wants him dead.

It is an interesting theory, and some fans think that it makes sense. Others contradicted this idea and said that it could be Moran himself who poisoned his wife. Fans are also taking note of Moriarity’s actions of killing the butterflies in “Kabukichou Sherlock” episode 13, and they said the beautiful insects could be reminding him of his mom, so he is reacting that way.

Moriarity and Sherlock’s first meeting

Aside from stories in the jail, flashbacks in “Kabukichou Sherlock” episode 13 will also show how Moriarity and Sherlock met. Surprisingly, they are connected in many ways, and it was even divulged that Mycroft, Sherlock’s brother, is working for Jame’s dad, Moran. Their lives are entwined since the beginning, and this is really interesting.

“Kabukichou Sherlock” episode 13 aired on Jan. 10 in Japan, and its English version release date is not yet available.
