TORONTO, April 04, 2016 -- Industry veteran Andrew Barnicke has joined Colliers International - Canada as Vice Chairman, Capital Markets. Barnicke will lead Colliers’ National Capital Markets team assisting clients to acquire and dispose of institutional quality commercial real estate assets, source capital solutions and facilitate multi-market and international mandates.

Barnicke has more than 30 years’ experience in commercial real estate, which includes serving as Partner and Senior Vice President at JJ Barnicke Limited, an independent commercial real estate firm acquired by DTZ in 2008.
Most recently, Barnicke was Co-Founder and President of Barnicke Investments & Consulting, a private equity real estate firm focused on mixed-use and change-of-use opportunities in the Greater Toronto area where he acquired or funded projects representing more than 1.1 million square feet. Barnicke has been an active participant in industry and business organizations for many years including serving as a board member of the International Council of Shopping Centres Canada. Barnicke currently serves as a member of the board of the Ivey Business School Institute of Entrepreneurship as well as the Curators’ Circle Committee of the Art Gallery of Ontario.
Barnicke will be based in Colliers’ Toronto Downtown office at 1 Queen Street.
