CHICAGO, Sept. 13, 2016 -- Hurco Companies, Inc. (Nasdaq:HURC), demonstrated the power of its brand portfolio at the opening day of the largest industry trade show in North America, the International Manufacturing Technology Show (IMTS). With the addition of the Takumi and Milltronics brands to the well-established Hurco brand of CNC machines, Hurco Companies brand portfolio was well represented with an unprecedented number of machines exhibited this year.
As the official premiere of Takumi CNC machines to the North American market, IMTS has proven to be the perfect venue to showcase the rigorous design features of the Takumi machines that are equipped with industry standard Fanuc controls.
Milltronics used the IMTS platform to relaunch the brand that has been reinvented with the addition of the 9000 control and new machine models since Hurco Companies acquired the company in 2015.
Demonstrating how Hurco CNC technologies make customers more profitable was the focus at the Hurco booth that featured the revolutionary 3D print head adapter in addition to multiple new machine models. Known for its sophisticated yet user-friendly WinMax® control software, Hurco CNC machines increase profitability for customers by making small to medium batch manufacturing efficient.
“It was an incredible opening day for Hurco at IMTS. In addition to the 1,600 square foot booth that housed all three CNC brands, we are participating in the Additive Manufacturing Conference to showcase our 3D printing capabilities. This technology essentially turns a CNC machine into a 3D printer, which means prototyping just got a whole lot easier and more efficient. The new BX40i bridge style machine was well received for its ability to take rigorous cuts and Hurco dedicated an entire quadrant to 5-axis technology showcasing the new VC600i cantilever machine. If the first day is an indicator of the rest of the week, I’m confident this could be the best IMTS we’ve ever had, as we form relationships with new customers who understand the importance of embracing new technology in order to increase profitability in a competitive environment,” said Greg Volovic, President of Hurco Companies, Inc.
