SEATTLE, Nov. 15, 2017 -- Today, PayScale, Inc., the leader in cloud compensation data and software for businesses and individuals, announced that Google collaborated with PayScale to provide compensation information for job seekers on the company’s job search experience in Search. Google announced it will enhance its job search feature by providing salary information for job posting from select compensation data sources, including PayScale. The salary information from PayScale will help people looking for jobs to find the right position more quickly and efficiently.
“Searching for a job can be very time intensive, so people want salary information to determine whether a position is right for them in the earliest stages of evaluation,” said Lydia Frank, Vice President of Content Strategy at PayScale. “We are thrilled to work with Google to offer our rich, real time compensation data to millions of job seekers as they look for a job that’s right for them.”
Since Google Search launched an improved search experience for finding jobs earlier this year, the number of employers showing their jobs on the site has increased by more than 60 percent and tens of millions of people have been connected to new job opportunities. Now, Google is adding additional features to its tool, including salary information to further improve the experience for users. PayScale’s salary data which analyzes pay based on a myriad of compensable factors - including position, geography, experience, as well as education, training or certifications required - will automatically be surfaced for relevant job postings on Google.
“We believe salary information is a crucial element to further enhance our user’s experience as they search for a job,” said Susan Cadrecha, Communications Manager at Google Search. “We are committed to providing useful and relevant information based on people’s search queries, and we believe PayScale’s salary data will improve the job search experience and connect people with their next job more easily.”
