ARLINGTON, Va., May 2, 2016 -- The Association for Enterprise Information (AFEI), an affiliate of the National Defense Industrial Association (NDIA), will hold its Agile in Government Summit at the Kellogg Conference Center at Gallaudet University in Washington, DC from May 10-11, 2016 to examine case studies, best practices and lessons learned in Agile and Development and Operations (DevOps).
Award-winning CTO, noted researcher and author Gene Kim, Cloud Technology Partners Senior Vice President David Linthicum and U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Service (USCIS) Chief Information Officer Mark Schwartz will serve as keynotes for the summit. Additional speakers and presenters include:
- Gary Bliss – Office of Performance Assessments and Root Cause Analyses (PARCA)
- Peter Christensen – National Cyber Range
- Matthew Kennedy – U.S. Treasury
- Richard Knaster – Scaled Agile, Inc.
- James McConnell – National Nuclear Security Administration

"We have held these events for the past six years, but this year we are really seeing a surge in interest not just in Agile methods but also in DevOps within government."
The Agile in Government Summit brings together industry, government and academic leaders to advance the practice of Agile in government. Topics of discussion will include the integration of Agile in a digital government; Agile in the Defense Department; and the challenges of government moving toward a DevOps culture.
