French industrial production to recover only slightly in June

French industrial activity is expected to have increased by 0.4% (+1.7% yoy) in June. Looking at the breakdown, the energy output is likely to have risen significantly by 2.4% mom, consistent with the improvement recorded in energy consumption over the same period. 

"Meanwhile, manufacturing output should show a slight increase of 0.1% mom in June. Overall, industrial production is expected to have decreased by 0.2% qoq in Q2 2015, given the large fall experienced in April (-0.8%)", says Societe Generale. 

This would mainly stem from the energy component which is likely to have decreased by 1.7% qoq over the same period.
