‘Forza Horizon 4’ News, Update: Game Inspires 1,100-Mile Road Trip, Players Unable to Enter Ranked Mode

“Forza Horizon 4” has just been released and fans are currently having a blast driving through the green pastures and beautiful roads of the U.K. The game has been so enjoyable, in fact, that it inspired some fans to actually drive around Britain in real life via a 1,100-mile road trip. Unfortunately, the game itself experienced some hiccups, with players being unable to enter ranked multiplayer mode.

The road trip that was inspired by “Forza Horizon 4” was done by CNET’s Andrew Hoyle, who drove a Jaguar F-Type SVR all through Britain, starting from Buxton. The trip covered 1,100 miles and the vehicle used was chosen to be as comfortable as possible while also offering quite a bit of power. From there, the beautiful countryside and gorgeous vistas of Britain were visible to see.

Many of such scenes are actually available in “Forza Horizon 4,” though, it’s worth pointing out that there are actually many places in the game that don’t exist in real life. Even so, as a racing title that is supposed to provide a faithful, real-life equivalent of the map of the UK to players, the result is simply outstanding.

In “Forza Horizon 4,” players are given several options as to the kind of racing mode they would like to enter. For the more serious racers, the ranked mode is the way to go. Unfortunately, this particular option was not available for some time, Windows Central reports. Many players could not join ranked sessions since the game launched.

This has since become a point of consternation among players who would like to get into ranked mode right now but have yet to do so. Windows is already working to address this particular black mark in what is otherwise a pristine reception of “Forza Horizon 4.” It should only be a matter of time before players can take on each other and prove who is the best racer.
