It would seem that it in its attempt to make “Fortnite” Season 9 as interesting as possible, Epic has managed to create a truly confusing world with its Battle Royale game. There is now an area in the game that would not look out of place in every sci-fi movie ever while other places look positively fantastical. Then there’s the matter of the upcoming features that include “John Wick” and even some new modes.
As of the launch of “Fortnite” Season 9, the game has essentially become a cornucopia of genres, The Verge points out. First-time players would likely find the whole concept of a place where a futuristic city and an ice castle, among other things, exist so close to each other quite confusing. Yet, this is exactly what is happening, and it actually works.
Instead of ending up a messy goo of a concept, “Fortnite” Season 9 works precisely because of how disparate its themes can be. This allows Epic to always keep the players second-guessing and never truly see what is happening until it actually happens. Take for example the upcoming “John Wick” crossover where players will be able to take on challenges related to the third movie in the franchise.
Data miners have been particularly hard at work with uncovering this information, even finding a house that is a virtual copy of what the famed movie assassin had in the first film. On top of that, “Fortnite” Season 9 will seemingly come with a new mode where there is a time limit that will be named “Wick’s Bounty.” If that doesn’t get fans’ hearts pumping, nothing will.
At this point, there is no denying that “Fortnite” Season 9 has shown players how far the game has come from its humble beginnings. It is also quite clear that the Battle Royale title plans to be the reigning king for a long time yet.
