Ford Everest 2019 Modifications: Engine, Wheel, and Exterior Design Changes Revealed

The Ford Everest 2019 will be seeing a new design change, at least for Thailand and Australia models, Auto Industriya reported. The ever-popular pick-up passenger vehicle (PPV) is aiming to put pressure on its competitors, including Nissan, Toyota, and Chevrolet.

It’s expected that there will be two major designs for the Ford Everest 2019. First is the changing of its 3.2-liter and 2.2-liter turbodiesel engines. Both motors have been taken out of the Everest index and substituted by a 2.0-liter EcoBlue turbodiesel.

The new engine has two defining power outputs. The first is the turbo intercooler diesel engine with a 180 PS and 420 Newton-meter (Nm) slated to succeed the 2.2-liter DuraTORQ TDCI.

The second is the 2.0-liter EcoBlue diesel engine which has a 213 PS and 500 Nm of torque. If these specs ring a bell, it’s due to the fact that the high-performance engine is similar to the one running under the Ford Ranger Raptor pick-up.

Apart from the engine tweaks, the Ford Everest 2019 will also see subtle changes in its exterior appearance. The most conspicuous are the new garnish for the fog light and lesser air input.

Moreover, the grill will also see a modification, with the former design transforming into a slimmer, three-bar look. As for the wheels, the Ford Everest 2019 Titanium+ version will have a new 20-inch alloy modification, while the Titanium variant will see no changes in this regard, keeping its 18-inch design.

The Everest Titanium+ will also increase its safety specs as Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB) will be slotted into its system. This system will follow the same safety design by other auto producers as it will employ a radar and a front camera to map out nearby cars and pedestrians. If a collision is projected and the system doesn’t sense any reaction from the driver, the AEB will take over and will conduct auto braking.

Lastly, the 6-speed unit will be substituted by the 10-speed automatic. All of these changes are expected to be adopted by other countries, with the ASEAN market seeing the alterations first given that Ford is manufactured in the region. The Ford Everest 2019 will give both long-time admirers and possible new users a lot of things to look forward to.
