FTI Consulting Receives Inaugural Consulting Firm of the Year Award
Janusz Ordover Named Competition Economist of the Year
Patrick McGeehin Named Construction Expert Witness of the Year
WASHINGTON, June 01, 2017 -- FTI Consulting, Inc. (NYSE:FCN) today announced that FTI Consulting and its Compass Lexecon subsidiary were named firm of the year in four categories and that two professionals were named experts of the year at the annual Who’s Who Legal Awards ceremony.
FTI Consulting was named Consulting Firm of the Year, Arbitration Consulting Firm of the Year for the third consecutive year and Quantum of Damages Firm of the Year. Compass Lexecon received the Competition Economics Firm of the Year award for the third consecutive year. FTI Consulting and Compass Lexecon are the only firms to have received Arbitration Consulting Firm of the Year and Competition Economics Firm of the Year honors since they were introduced in 2015.
Janusz Ordover, a Senior Consultant at Compass Lexecon, was named Competition Economist of the Year for the third consecutive year. Mr. Ordover, who has received the award each year since its inception in 2015, is an Emeritus Professor of Economics and a former Director of the Masters in Economics Program at New York University, where he began teaching in 1976. He served as the Deputy Assistant Attorney General for Economics in the Antitrust Division of the U.S. Department of Justice under President George H. W. Bush. He has served as an expert witness in significant antitrust matters during his career, including Allied Orthopedic Appliances v. Tyco Health Group, In re Hydrogen Peroxide, In re LIBOR-based financial instruments antitrust litigation and TCL Communication Technology Holdings, Ltd., et al. v. Telefonaktiebolaget LM Ericsson, et al.
Patrick McGeehin, Leader of FTI Consulting’s North American Construction Solutions practice, was named Construction Expert Witness of the Year in its inaugural year. Mr. McGeehin regularly testifies on claim pricing, cost allocation and other damages issues for construction and government contract projects performed throughout the world. He has provided expert testimony in both court and board/arbitration forums, including appearances in international arbitration settings before the International Chamber of Commerce, and before U.S. boards of contract appeals, state circuit courts and federal district courts in the United States. He also has testified before binding and advisory dispute review board panels on power, industrial and large civil construction projects globally.
