CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va., March 23, 2016 -- ExploreLearning®, a member of Cambium Learning® Group, Inc. (NASDAQ:ABCD), announced it has completed the project to convert Gizmos® math and science simulations to HTML5.
ExploreLearning Gizmos is the world’s largest library of interactive online simulations for math and science education in grades 3–12. It helps students develop a deep understanding of challenging concepts through inquiry and exploration. Educators across North America use Gizmos to bring research-proven, standards-aligned instructional strategies to the classroom.
The project converted a library of more than 400 Gizmos to the latest web markup standard, HTML5. This made the simulations more accessible on popular platforms like Chromebooks, iPads, and Android devices. In the process, the Gizmos were updated and redesigned, and the website was completely revamped to make it more mobile friendly.
With improved search and navigation features, enhanced Gizmos lesson information, new class management tools, a searchable online help widget, and responsive design, the Gizmos website is even more teacher friendly and easy to use.
“Our goal is to help all children succeed in math and science,” said David Shuster, Ph.D., founder and president of ExploreLearning. “With this major update, the full power of Gizmos is now available to the broadest audience possible.”
