“Elite” season 3 is up next and there are rumors that say this will be the last installment that will feature the original cast members who were in the show since the drama premiered in October 2018. This claim comes after it was reported that Netflix already renewed the series for its fourth and fifth seasons.
Cast replacement rumor
Based on the article that appeared on Fuera de Series, a Spanish tabloid, the producers and Netflix have been discussing about replacing all the cast members. If this plan will materialize then the fans will only get to see Samuel (Itzan Escamilla), Carla (Ester Expósito), Guzmán (Miguel Bernardeau), Polo (Álvaro Rico), Nano (Jaime Lorente), Lu (Danna Paola), Nadia (Mina El Hammani), Rebeca (Claudia Salas), Ander (Arón Piper), Valerio (Jorge López), Omar (Omar Shana), Christian (Miguel Herrán) and Cayetana (Georgina Amorós), for the last time in “Elite” season 3.
The Daily Soap Dish further reported that the massive cast shakeup is likely being done to give the drama a major overhaul. This has yet to be confirmed but surely, this is sad news for the fans. The only good news is the fact that “Elite” season 4 and 5 have been greenlighted already.
Spoilers - what will happen next?
In any case, while waiting for any announcement regarding cast replacements, here are some spoilers to check out for the upcoming “Elite” season 3. The first installment told the story of Samuel, one of the new students at Las Encinas who was granted a scholarship. It is an exclusive school private school in Spain that not everyone can go to so he feels really lucky to be given the chance to study there.
However, his life turned into horror when his classmates started turning up dead in the campus. He also started a relationship with Marina but one day she was murdered and this was how season 1 ended. The next installment was about finding the killer and after many twists and turns it was finally revealed that Polo is the culprit.
Now, for “Elite” season 3, it is likely to further explore the mystery of Marina’s death. New classmates are also expected to arrive although their roles are still being kept a secret.
Release date
Finally, “Elite” season 3 was already confirmed to arrive in March. Netflix released the drama’s video teaser that included the premiere date announcement.
