Donald Trump called ‘hypocrite’; POTUS ‘goofs around’ while singing national anthem after urging Americans not to be ‘disrespectful’

Donald Trump was recently called a hypocrite for not doing what he encouraged other people to do.

While at the Super Bowl party in Mar-a-Lago, Florida, a video of the POTUS standing in between Melania Trump and Barron Trump made headlines.

In the clip, the FLOTUS’s hand is placed over her chest as a sign of respect for the country. Barron, 13, also placed his hand over his chest while singing the national anthem.

However, it seemed as though the POTUS was goofing around while the national anthem was being sung. Trump fidgeted and chatted with some people, and this didn’t sit well with his critics. The president of the United States was lambasted on social media.

“You’re rude, dishonest, and completely disrespectful. What goes around must come down, what comes around goes around, the harder you come the harder you’re going down. I love to see you get what you deserve for the hate you have consistently put out there. You are a disgusting pig,” Twitter user @massaman747 said.

“Have you seen Trump goofing off during the national anthem at the Super Bowl? That’s disgusting,” Twitter user @PFugleberg said.

“No offense because I wasn’t impressed either, but what about how your president was acting during the national anthem after spending years attacking others who ‘disrespected’ it be kneeling? What has happened to the USA?” Twitter user @Untillcanthink said.

Meanwhile, the POTUS’s recent attitude towards the national anthem contradicted his previous statement about not disrespecting it. During a series of interviews, Melania’s husband said that there shouldn’t be anyone that would disrespect the anthem, flag, and country.

Three years ago, the POTUS said a similar thing during his speech outside the White House.

“I don’t think you can disrespect our country, our flag, our national anthem,” he said.

On another occasion, Donald expressed his love for the country.

“We love our country, we respect our flag, and we always proudly stand for the national anthem. We will always stand for the national anthem,” he said.
