Muzan might be under the effects of Tamayo’s drugs but that does not mean he is helpless in “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba” chapter 197. In fact, he will still be able to unleash a surprise attack that will catch some of the Pillars unprepared.

Previously, Tamayo had Muzan cornered even after her death. With the combined four effects of her drug, Muzan has aged, weakened, can no longer regenerate and is starting to experience cellular destruction.

“Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba” chapter 197 starts with Tamayo conversing with Muzan inside the demon’s head. “If I can make you weaker, I don’t have to be stronger than you to kill you,” Tamayo said.

The Tamayo said something very chilling to Muzan. “We will do anything to kill you, just as you will do anything to live,” she said.

Then Muzan began to realize the truth behind Tamayo’s words. Without her drug, Muzan would have been able to easily deal with the attacks of the Pillars. After all, the Pillars are way weaker compared to Yoriichi. But the effects of Tamayo’s medicines stacked upon each other, which resulted in the Pillar’s being able to injure the demon.

Then the demon suddenly stopped on his tracks. Tanjiro and Obanai thought that it must be due to Tamayo’s drugs. However, it was Muzan’s last-ditch effort – he attacked the two Pillars with his Blood Demon Arts.

Due to Muzan’s attack, Tanjiro and Obanai were injured in “Demon Slayer” chapter 197. Even the other Pillars are worried about their safety.

Tanjiro finds it hard to breathe as he discovers that his lungs are squashed due to Muzan’s attack. He also notices Muzan trying to escape the battlefield.

But just as previous “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba” chapter 197 spoilers had predicted, Muzan won’t be able to get away even after injuring Tanjiro and Obanai. The other Pillars had enough time to heal to a certain degree and are back on the battlefield to stop the demon from making his escape. Specifically, it is Inosuke Hashibira who tries to bar Muzan’s escape.

While Muzan injured Inosuke in “Demon Slayer” chapter 197, Tanjiro will do his best to counter the demon’s Blood Demon Arts. He will try to neutralize its effects by using the Nichirin blade. “Stab it in the gap between blood vessels, avoid the vital areas,” Tanjiro formulate his own method to deal with the attack.

Muzan is very pissed off when he sees Tanjiro standing back up to fight him in “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba” chapter 197. He just can’t understand why they still manage to stand up and fight once more no matter how many times they fall.
