The design of the nearly 13,000 square foot restaurant was inspired by the flowing curves and strong angles of the building with sleek, modern elements and luxurious touches. The restaurant features a second story patio offering sweeping views of Uptown and Downtown Dallas and the tree-lined McKinney & Olive piazza. A modern, illuminated chandelier cascades down from the second story into a suspended cage over the bar top, doubling as a captivating art piece and a spirits display. The restaurant was designed by acclaimed Atlanta, Ga.-based restaurant design firm The Johnson Studio.
McKinney & Olive, the tallest building in Uptown, reflects the continuing vibrancy of Uptown Dallas. The 530,000-square-foot building offers unrivaled visibility and views with its billowing sheer glass façade.
“We are thrilled to open our Uptown Dallas restaurant in the remarkable McKinney & Olive building. Guests today are seeking out a full dining experience and our new location offers a destination with a beautiful setting to enjoy our exceptional food and signature cocktails as well as an after dinner stroll in the piazza,” commented Mark S. Mednansky, CEO of Del Frisco’s Restaurant Group. “We appreciate our many loyal Spring Valley guests and we look forward to offering the same hospitality and culinary excellence they have come to know at our new Uptown restaurant.”
The McKinney & Olive Del Frisco’s Double Eagle will serve bold, chef-driven cuisine under the direction of Executive Chef Tony Schwappach, alongside a world class, award-winning wine list with flawless and hospitable service fit for a king, but shared with everyone. The menu also features a diverse wine list of more than 1,200 labels that includes a number of notable verticals from both old and new world producers. The program is led by Wine Director Chantel Daves and presented by a team of knowledgeable sommeliers available to navigate guests through selections that have been curated to complement every dish.
The two-story restaurant accommodates 480 guests with four private dining rooms and a picturesque patio in addition to the main dining room. The McKinney & Olive Double Eagle Steak House will serve lunch Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., dinner Monday through Saturday from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. and Sunday dinner from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. Guests can also enjoy the Del’s at Dusk happy hour Monday through Friday from 3 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
